Game Production Services adds two new locations
Company expands beyond Albuquerque with offices in Las Cruces, NM and Lawton, OK
Albuquerque, New Mexico—July 30, 2009— Game Production Services, a developer of serious games and immersive mixed-reality environments, has recently opened two new locations in addition to its Albuquerque headquarters.
In Las Cruces, GPS is now located in the Genesis Center, also home to the Arrowhead Center. GPS is working with New Mexico State University’s Arrowhead Center and its National Security Technology Incubator on a variety of advanced technology projects.
“Our new office makes it more convenient to continue our ongoing projects with the Arrowhead Center and NSTI. It also lets us be closer to our customers at Ft. Bliss and provide them with better service,” said Glyn Anderson, GPS President.
At Ft. Bliss, GPS provides training simulations such as the Cognitive Air Defense Training System – Engagement Control Station Simulator. The CAD-TS ECS2 allows the instructors at Ft. Bliss to show the correlation between abstract 2D radar views and complex 3D space. This helps the Patriot Missile crews learn how to determine when radar-detected threats are real, and helps lower incidents of fratricide.
The second new office for GPS is in Lawton, Oklahoma. This office allows GPS to better serve the training needs of the soldiers at Ft. Sill, where GPS has created two versions of the Joint Fires and Effects Trainer System.
The JFETS CASM is an immersive training environment enabling Joint Terminal Attack Controllers to practice calling in close air support and communicating with pilots. The JFETS UTM is a four-dimensional training environment combining 3-D graphics and an immersive physical environment that provides forward observers practice making decisions under stress.
“We’ve been working with Ft. Sill for five years now and the new office represents an expansion beyond JFETS to new projects. We look forward to ongoing projects with Ft. Sill and continued growth for the Lawton office,” said Glyn Anderson, GPS President.
